Globlazation of Pansori and the Sellection as the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity

UNESCO made a proclamation the Korea s Pansori as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2003. Because of many efforts to select, we all cheered that result. Besides we are anxious about the future of Pansori in the period of the globalization, our delight is bigger than any other time. UNESCO s proclamation made to recognize the continuance of the presentation of Pansori. But that recognition has the negative side in the prospect of Pansori. That selection leads the Pansori as a died culture, so we must hold the fixed frame. Because Pansori is still alive, that result will bring out the serious effects. Accordingly we will accept that decision withen the limits.This essay analyzes the meanings of the preservation and the conversion, so presents the means of settling the questions which we get faced with. That is the establish the Pansori school(or Pansori-Changguk school)! We will come to the wanted conclusion by its background .
