Exploring the Type of Contents on Korean Intangible Cultural Heritage Website

This study analyzed 8 sites related to intangible cultural heritage in order to search contents type of intangible cultural property web site in internet based knowledge base society. This finding shows that on the website of national cultural heritage, the directory should be classified with a view to searching for dance, according to its forms and characteristics. The website of cultural heritage administration has to be modified so that relevant material can be built up, depending on the type of dance. The website of national intangible heritage center does not cover dance information of south Korean cities and provinces and five northern Korean provinces, so the dance needed to be categorized. For on the website of the encyclopedia of Korean local culture, dance information by different criteria based on region has been offered. For each dance, dissimilar authors are involved, leading to inconsistency of dance content. The website of encyclopedia of Korean culture needs to provide an opportunity to have insight into diverse dance. In case of the website of encyclopedia of Korean folklore, some national intangible cultural property which has to be included in the dance division is found in the improper area, which reveals that division of dance should be systematized. On the website of encyclopedia of Korean traditional festivals, definition of traditional festivals ought be reestablished and in-depth aesthetic discussion is to be carried out. The website of culture content has to deal with whole knowledge of one dance.
