Resumen |
This study seeks to reflect on how Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and Editorial Design can be related. It does so through an interventionist investigation centred on the development of the design project for the periodical “Inefavel”. ICH plays a fundamental role in constructing cultural identity and promoting diversity and sustainable development, even though it faces significant challenges in preservation and valorisation. In this context, Editorial Design has emerged as a powerful tool for broadening the reach and understanding of the ICH and promoting the preservation and revitalisation of its manifestations. The project we developed illustrates how communication design (and editorial design in particular) can impact how society transmits, perceives, and values intangible culture. This approach aligns with the principles and goals in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly Goal 11.4, which seeks to strengthen efforts to protect and safeguard theworld s cultural and natural heritage. The study highlights the importance of promoting a multidisciplinary dialogue involving the ICH to preserve and enhance the richness of intangible culture for current and future generations. |
