The Design, Implementation and Analysis of the Digital-Cloud Intangible Cultural Heritage System

Intangible cultural heritage is a remarkable treasure passed down by the Chinese nation over thousands of years, with a long-standing history and profound cultural legacy. In recent years, with the rapid development of technology and the advent of the digital age, some intangible cultural heritage is facing difficulties in inheritance and development due to low production efficiency, high costs, and imperfect management. Moreover, traditional methods of recording and preserving intangible cultural heritage, such as oral transmission and written records in books, can hardly meet the inheritance needs of the digital age. In response, our research team designed and implemented the Digital-Cloud Intangible Heritage System by taking advantage of the Android operating system (OS) and the WeChat Cloud Development server, using WeChat developer tools as the development environment, and adopting WXML, JavaScript, and a cloud database. The development, debugging, and operation of the Chinese-version system have been successfully completed. This system aims to establish an intelligent platform for the online display, introduction, learning, and communication of intangible cultural heritage. By enabling two-way communication between online and offline channels, it encourages more people to participate in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. © 2025 IEEE.
