The aim of this presentation is to share some reflections on the implications of the recent declaration asIntangible Cultural Heritage of the dry stone construction technique, taking as a case study the AutonomousCommunity of Aragon, more specifically the region of Sobrarbe. Based on this approach, the difficulty ofseparating the intangible aspects of this traditional knowledge, from the materials that constitute thephysical manifestation is discussed. Constructive typologies in this region of Huesca are briefly reviewed,and some lines of action for their study, conservation and promotion are proposed, in accordance with theproposals of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage |
