This article presents a connection of the various i nitiatives that have been carried out in the town o f Hondarribia regarding the collection or use of memo ries and oral testimonies from different scientific disciplines. It also presents an approach to a coup le of epistemological issues that are recurrent in the use of such material (objectivity and generalizatio n) and a series of tips to take into consideration when addressing the work with these recollections
