Los museos históricos y el Patrimonio Inmaterial: un desafío a implementar

The Cabildo Museum is an iconic building and a national monument whose history is closely linked to the political events of the colonial and post-independence periods. Our intention was to convey the «other heritage», the heritage that cannot be seen or touched -in other words, «intangible» heritage. As an institution, we decided to tell the «everyday stories», the anecdotes of the mutilated building and of the objects that few people know about. In short, we demystified the museum and history by reviving our cultural and experiential heritage through «recreations». El Museo del Cabildo es un edificio emblemático y Monumento Nacional con una historia muy ligada a los procesos políticos coloniales y pos independencia. Nuestra propuesta fue trasmitir el «otro patrimonio», el que no se ve, ni se toca, «el inmaterial». Nos propusimos, como institución, contar las «historias cotidianas», las anécdotas, las del edificio mutilado, las de los objetos que pocos conocen. En una palabra desmitificamos al museo y a la historia, rescatando el patrimonio cultural-vivencial a través de las «recreaciones».
