Within this trend, is of great importance the attention that has been devoted to intangible or immaterial heritage, such as traditions, beliefs, songs, languages, etc., that complement the one that was already devoted to material objects and monuments. And among those we want to highlight in this article the importance of toponyms or names of geographic locations, both as territorial references, as they have been to date, and as components of the culture and heritage of that same territory and of the people that inhabit it.
