AB - Slovenia ratified UNESCO s Convention for the Safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003) in 2008 and implemented it in its legislation. Implementation of the convention is possible only through cooperation of bearers, experts and government officials. The article presents the difficulties Slovenia encounters in implementing the convention at several levels, from terminology and safeguarding regimes to personnel and financial difficulties.
