The study clarifies the educational limitations of the traditional apprenticeship in the field of dance designated as an intangible cultural heritage, and newly suggested a universal education model system in the field of traditional dance based on the cognitive apprentice theory from the constructivist perspective by examining the specificity of the apprentice principle. To this end, open-ended questionnaires and focus group interviews were conducted on 10 education experts of traditional dance to gather diverse opinions.In addition design-Based Research, which focuses on the formative cycle, conducted model development through a virtuous cycle. Was performed. As a result, The limitations of traditional dance education based on traditional appren ticeship were derived from technique - based education, functional evaluation of dance, lack of self - directed learning method, and limitation of universal education. Furthermore, there was the specificity of the apprenticeship principle in the field of traditional dance, the attitude affected from confucianism, spiritual succession and non - systematic professionalism principle. Therefore, this study is based on the theory of cognitive apprenticeship and suppose to construct universal design for traditional dance learning in the process of Modeling as precedence step where teacher show the whole process of traditional dance, Scaffolding in which leaners learn teacherʼs cognitive stages in order to solve the problems and Fading after which leaners can solve the problem in oneself initiatively.
