In this context, thematic routes have become a valuable tool toward taking tourists to various sites. The Tequila Route has been positively influenced by many of the effects of the implementation of the Magical Towns Programme , where various tangible and intangible heritage elements combine to convey “The flavour of Mexico”. Meanwhile the Wine Route constitutes a fine example of “Border culture” vernacular architecture for tourists to enjoy.
