This was a multi-national inscription submitted by eight States Parties, including Spain with a nomination supported by nine Autonomous Communities. Based on the indisputable characteristics that identify the dry stone technique as intangible cultural heritage, the objective of this paper focuses on the questioning of the finality of their heritagization. Based on the premises established in the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, propose to what extent this world recognition, being UNESCO heritage, influences the fact that the dry stone technique is actually “safeguarded” under the referred premises stipulated in the Convention. a02147564 (ISSN)
