The core contents of this study are as follows. First, it aims to expand the target and scope of cultural heritage education that has been centered on schools. Second, it is necessary to cultivate cultural literacy and establish cultural identity by conducting cultural heritage education in each life cycle. Therefore, we explored the status and value of oral literature as the materials of cultural heritage education, and suggested the practice style of cultural heritage education using the literary period by life cycle. First, it established the necessity of cultural heritage education as lifelong learning. The purpose of this study is to explore the system, contents and methods of cultural heritage education in the lifelong learning system by expanding the space of time targets and areas of cultural heritage education performed as a kind of education system. Second, the extension and diversity of cultural heritage materials for lifelong learning were discovered and explored in the literature. In order to elaborate and systematize the content and method of cultural heritage education, the character of the literature is largely divided into ‘narrative’ and ‘performance’. These provided the basis for understanding and practice of cultural heritage education. Third, we proposed the perception and role of instructors, learner, policy officers involved in cultural heritage education, and sought the practical direction of cultural heritage education by life cycle. Cultural heritage education should not be carried out only in schools whereinstitutional education is carried out, but should be carried out gradually in accordance with human development process and life cycle. This literature can be used as a key mechanism to empathize with the cultural heritage and enjoy the cultural heritage and contribute to the smooth cultural communication with the individual as well as the local people and to establish cultural identity. a1598-3501
