By studying the design of women s wear that mainly applied the costume culture of the BaiKu Yao, we developed the designs of four sets of women s wear by applying elements such as the form, color, pattern, and material of the BaiKu Yao. By applying unique elements of ethnic costume to modern women s wear, it was intended to develop creative women s wear with not only the functionality of modern women s wear design, but also the unique costume culture and symbol of the BaiKu Yao. In this study, first, the history and culture of the BaiKu Yao tribe, a minority ethnic group in China, were examined, and second, the characteristics of the BaiKu Yao tribe s clothing were reviewed and analyzed centering on shape, color, pattern, and material. Third, through this, design elements such as the form and pattern of the Baekguyo people s clothing were developed by applying them to the design of modern women s clothing. After selecting the structure, color, and pattern of the BaiKu Yao costume, using the Adobe Illustrator program, a design schematic was created, and then three-dimensionally cut and made into a real object. If the developed women s clothing design is developed and displayed as a cultural tourism product for the BaiKu Yao people, it is thought that many people will be able to raise awareness through a new awareness of the traditional clothing of ethnic minorities from a modern perspective. I hope that this study will serve as a reference material so that the succession and creative application of the BaiKu Yao costume can be made in subsequent studies. a2671-6194
