First of all, we closely examined the changing process of the Cultural Heritage Protection Act, in order to investigate the development process of the current system. In addition, the survey indexes (individual items) in relation to intangible heritage holders, transmission teaching assistants and learners as well as their limitations were analyzed, and the status of the scientific preservation-related studies were reviewed. As a result, this study suggested a scientific alternative for an effective preservation of national intangible cultural heritages in the dance field. a1738-9178
