These new meanings and practices were the consequence of new relations: some of their representatives become to integrate participative forums promoted by the Ministry of Culture, taking part on an intense process of circulation and exchanges among cultural makers, both in regional and national meetings. From this case, I analyze the relations between music and politics. How is a music making produced in association with activism and public policy? The aim is to explore how carimbo, in its sounds, dance, poetry and sociability are related to the universe of public policies and understand how it is simultaneously heritage, both musical and political. a1808-1967
