To this end, we will present aspects related to the movement of artisanal fisherworkers and the results of the heritage activation promoted to guarantee their rights to work and cultural reproduction. The emergence of the procedures occurred in view of the risk of restricting the use of two objects: "barracos" and "tabuados". The synergy between scientific research, support from a non-governmental organization, insertion in the "Conselho Estadual de Pesca de Mato Grosso", adoption of specific legal principles, and the political performance of fisherworkers in the municipality of Caceres, possibly guaranteed their rights to remain in the river, continuity practices and knowledge and the maintenance of their fishing territories. a2175-3423
