Goals and methods differ, according to social and cultural needs and the means available in each era. Nowadays, promoting access to knowledge and enjoyment of the Heritage is a necessity arising from the processes of globalization and the determination to preserve a plural and diverse society. In this sense, promoting the dialogue between Material and Intangible Heritage through cultural routes, communicated through the design of wayfinding systems, is a requirement for the full understanding of both.
