It provides people with a sense of identity and continuity, and promotes respect for cultural diversity and human creativity. The intangible paleontological heritage, object of study of the Cultural Palaeontology and the Ethnopaleontology, is constituted by the non-scientific influences that some fossils have exerted and they exert on the human culture. In this paper we collect, study and interpret the contributions and influence from fossil remains in relation to the cultural heritage of the Balearic Islands. These contributions affect the linguistic heritage (popular names and place names), literary-narrative heritage (legends and phrases), belief-heritage (beliefs) and customs heritage (uses) of the geographical area of the Balearic Islands a978-84-9138-032-0
