The cross-sectional correlational method was used and data collection was done through the application of surveys for both tourists and officials of public institutions involved in the field of heritage, instruments whose reliability was validated through the application of the Cronbach Alpha. The study determined through the application of Pearson s Chi-square method, that both the supply, management and conservation of intangible cultural heritage significantly influence the tourism development of the Colta canton. Based on these results, the creation of tourist packages focused on social uses, rituals and festive events of heritage, whose purpose allowed to take advantage of tourist mobility to share the ancestral knowledge of the sector, emerged as a proposal.  a2631-2743
