In the fieldofthe so-calledlinguistic heritage, the cultural policy of the State Perties shows inconsistent heritage management in relation to the international agreements of UNESCO, especially the Convention for the Safeguarding ofthe Intangible CulturalHeritage (2003).In this article, we discuss the main legislative documents on intangible cultural heritage andthe elements registered in the National Register to assess how linguistic heritage is managed in Slovenia and to stimulate a broader debate on the long-term regulation of this field. © 2022 Zalozba ZRC.
