Under the background of the 1st Seminar on the Inheritance, Protection and Innovation of Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage, the paper made a questionnaire survey and an interview on presented experts and scholars, then further discussed the status quo and ways of promoting textile intangible cultural heritage education. Based on these researches, some suggestions are given on developing textile intangible cultural heritage in universities from the perspective of major set up, curriculum design, faculty management and construction of practice platform which aim at providing references for developing textile intangible cultural heritage in universities to further promote the inheritance and development of our textile intangible cultural heritage.Intangible cultural heritage, the cultural treasure of our nation, implies our unique spirit and cultural values while education is fundamental for a nation to continue and prosper. The inheritance of intangible cultural heritage is expected to develop better through education in return it provides materials for our national cultural education which extensively promotes traditional cultural identity of our people.The 1st Seminar on the Inheritance, Protection and Innovation of Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage is held in Tianjin Polytechnic University. Questionnaire survey and interviews are done on presented experts.
