@article{3357, author = {Zolotareva V, Natalya}, title = {Actualization of ethno-cultural heritage of the khants in municipal cultural institutions of Surgut}, abstract = {Ethnic values were translated during the life in the traditional culture. Their paramount importance was realized and was attributed in a special, ritual sphere. It was located in the most sacred part of the space, the sacred place, and presupposed the existence of specific individuals with the functions of managers and custodians. However, there were no special institutions for the preservation and transmission of basic information, including rules and values. In modern conditions the described mechanism of ethno-cultural heritage translation largely lost its force. Institutions performing the functions of generation and preservation of cultural heritage are cultural institutions now. The article analyzes the activities of the Surgut Museum of Local Lore and historical and cultural center "The Old Surgut". In the aspect of the cultural heritage of the Khants actualization, four activities the Surgut Museum of Local Lore are characterized: research, stock, exhibition, cultural and educational. The Surgut regional museum has accumulated extensive experience in developing projects, exhibitions and implementation of cultural and educational programs. The museum staff actualize both tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the indigenous people in the region, namely, mythological texts, manufacturing technology of toys, methods of ornamentation. The museum hosts events involving all kinds of cultural heritage for different age categories of visitors, both children and adults. The historical and cultural center "The Old Surgut" holds events involving all forms of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible. The study concludes that the considered cultural institutions have accumulated positive experience of integrated activities that contribute to the revival of traditional culture, preservation and promotion of ethnic and cultural heritage of the Khants. In the Surgut regional museum a lot of attention is paid to updating the material component of ethnic and cultural heritage of the Khants and "The Old Surgut" focuses on its non-material component.
