  abstract = {The transmission environment for folklore is changing along with the rapid socio-cultural changes. From a researcher’s perspective, it is only natural to ask oneself as to how to recognize the current situation from the past and set the direction for gut research. The topic of this study, the new understanding about the variety of gut, is set under such consideration. In order to find the multi-layered and multi-faceted aspects of gut, we need approaches that consider gut in every direction, not clinging to certain materials. This paper argues that we need to overcome the bigotry of gut research, and focus on the variety of gut in order to look for new perspective for discussion and reconstruct the complexity of gut performance which is not easily observed in today’s gut which is very unified. Along with discovering materials, analyzing undisclosed materials and examining some new aspects of existing materials, I believe we can reach the argument.In order to examine the variety of Jeolladogut, the organization method of gut and regional characteristics were studies as well as the dynamics or towngut and the relationship of towngut․housegut. In most discussions, the importance of new materials were emphasized, and the possibility of expanding the discussion were checked through concrete cases. Firstly, based on the new photographic materials, Ajangi gut performance was empirically analyzed about the process of introduction into gut performance. The introduction of Ajang into gut performance is a case that displays the creative applicability of gut transmitters and the dynamics of gut transmission. In addition, the genesis myth which is found while transcribing the undisclosed recorded materials is introduced and examined for the possibility of expanding the discussion.Recently, collecting the folklore materials including donations by elderly scholars and archiving work are very active. However, how it is related to qualitative study is not so clear. This paper attempts to find a study direction for the matter. More concrete argument and composition need to be obtained along with some attempts to examine transmission situation related to the nearby regions.},
