AB - Critique on the fetish-object in museums has created an apparent dichotomy between the tangible and the intangible. The following text aims to discuss the whole current notion that museums should focus on ideas and experiences, disregarding their collections of valuable items that have been welltreasured for years. Objects are inevitably tied to memory and to emotions as well as to the visitors capacity to have a significant experience. This analysis will be carried out by gathering theoretical approaches about objects and also through the case study of an exhibition called Velorios y santos vivos.
