AB - A Comparative Study of the Intangible Cultural HeritageSystems in Korea and China: Focusing onIntangible Cultural Heritage Law and Inheritance SystemZihao Huang, Myungsang Kim, ＆ Kyungsoo HwangAbstract: Since Korea and China belong to East Asian cultures, and especially Korea and China have historical and cultural similarities, comparative studies on the intangible cultural property system of the two countries are meaningful. The purpose of this study is to find ways to revitalize the transmission system of intangible cultural properties in Korea and China. To this end, it was compared and analyzed through data such as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Act of Korea and China, academic papers, degree papers, research reports, and related policies. Through the comparison of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Act and the transfer and support system of important intangible cultural properties, the two countries had similar classifications and designations of important intangible cultural properties, but China had more types of intangible cultural properties than Korea. Since there is a disadvantage in that the comparison element is single, we will make efforts to compare and study in terms of intangible cultural industrialization and the current status of intangible cultural laws. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the revitalization of the intangible cultural property system in Korea and China.Key Words: Cultural Properties, Intangible Culture, Cultural Transmission, Intangible Cultural Properties Act, and Cultural Properties
