The abundance of cultural landscapes is one of the main indicators of Russia s cultural uniqueness and attractiveness, but this fact is not adequately realized at the level of administrative decision making and is insufficiently reflected in Russia s list of World Heritage Sites. Despite this, works on identifying potential candidates that deserve representing Russia are carried out at the Institute of Heritage, and some of the candidates can be presented.
