In reaching its 60 edition it was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the state of San Luis Potosi. Since 2001, it has organized the Festival San Luis Potosi which includes a series of cultural activities in different parts of the city; the procession of silence is part of the festival and one of the events that attracts more visitors to the population. The San Luis Potosi Festival is a clear indication that the events organized by secular institutions with recreational and cultural purposes can coexist with those of respecting the religious meaning and intent of each of them and to the benefit of both. a2386-8570
