  abstract = {This work attempts to address intangible cultural heritage from a knowledge-based view in order to study its role in increasing destination competitiveness. Firstly the concept of intangible cultural heritage and its relationship with tourism ae reviewed. Next, the importance of destination competitiveness in the intangible heritage context is addressed, and the potential to be analysed under the framework of the knowledge-based view is studied. Finally, the conditions for intangible cultural heritage to establish competitive advantages are presented.},
