The goal is to analyze this group s struggle for ethnic recognition in Colombia. The article describes experiences of a group of musicians and farmers, contrasting state initiatives with the group s own efforts to strengthen its artistic and cultural expression. First, I problematize categories used in ICH discourse and give the historical context for the study. Next, I highlight contradictions in "salvage" discourse, noting its impact on individuals and groups. Finally, I question the hierarchical nature of ICH discourses, which frame cultural heritage as a question of property rather than one of meaning.}, year = {2016}, journal = {Quaderns de l Institut Catala d Antropologia}, volume = {21}, number = {1}, pages = {63-80}, issn = {02115557 (ISSN)}, url = {https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-84986612636&partnerID=40&md5=6efd01d8ec2c7caa199f5b95ef2ee975}, note = {Publisher: Institut Catala d Antropologia}, language = {Spanish}, }
